PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chenille yarn affording a chenille woven fabric having high added value unobtainable by a printing technique. SOLUTION: Design information of a pattern drawn on the surface of a chenille woven fabric is integrated into the chenille yarn by causing a partial change in any at least one point of refractive index of a fiber polymer constituting a floral yarn, composition and material of the fiber polymer, gloss of fibers, dyeability of the fibers, hygroscopicity of the fibers, water repellency of the fibers, oil repellency of the fibers, coefficient of friction of the fibers, crimp ratio of the fibers, stretch ratio of the fibers, shrinkage percentage of the fibers, fineness of the fibers, cross-sectional shape of the fibers, number of single filaments constituting the floral yarn, thickness of the single filaments constituting the floral yarn, number of twists of the floral yarn, thickness of the floral yarn, protruding length of a floral yarn piece from the floral yarn, a woven or a knit texture structure of the floral yarn engaging with the floral yarn piece and number of floral yarn piece (engaging density) based on unit length of the chenille yarn in the longitudinal direction of the chenille yarn.
