PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable cam follower that has a roller abutting on a cam and makes the rotation of the roller smooth. SOLUTION: The cam follower 2 includes a body 3 having a pair of side walls 3a, 3b and the roller 5 that is rotatively and externally installed on a supporting shaft 4 extended between the side walls 3a and 3b. Chamferings 5b, 5c are performed on each corner portion in an outer diameter side and an inner diameter side of both end faces 5a, 5a of the roller 5. In the chamfering 5b in the outer diameter side, the length in the axial direction A1 is shorter than the length in the radial direction B1, and in the chamfering 5c in the inner diameter side, the length in the axial direction A2 is shorter than the length in the diameter direction B2. Therefore, even if the roller 5 slides in the axial direction and the axial center is inclined, abrasion resistance between the end face 5a of the roller 5 and the side wall 3a (3b) can be reduced and local abrasion of the side wall 3a (3b) can be prevented.
