PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory management apparatus wherein the capacity of a memory in use can be reduced. SOLUTION: A size of a frame memory 101 is selected to be a sum of a data size of image data PICan of an image sequence a, a data size of image data PICbn of an image sequence b, and a data size of image data of the image sequence a or b which is smaller, storage areas of the image data of the image sequences a, b are always recorded consecutive, when new image data of the image sequence a are recorded, the image data of the image sequence b are recorded so as to be sandwiched by the new image data and the image data of the image sequence a recorded in the frame memory 101 at a present point of time, and when new image data of the image sequence b are recorded, the image data of the image sequence a are recorded so as to be sandwiched by the new image data and the image data of the image sequence b recorded in the frame memory 101 at a present point of time.
