PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical ball gutter for increasing the amount of balls stored in a small lateral width. SOLUTION: In this vertical ball gutter 1, a central rod 3 extended in the vertical direction is fixed inside a cylindrical vertical case 2, the upper and lower sides of which are closed, and a spiral blade 4 such as a screw is fixedly provided outside the central rod 3, thereby forming a plurality of spiral slopes 5 centering round the central rod 3 in the vertical direction in the inside of the vertical case. When balls P supplied from a tank 11 are introduced into the spiral slopes 5 through a ball intake port 6, the balls P take a form as if they meander front and back and right and left along the spiral slopes 5 so as to necessarily increase the amount of balls stored in the vertical ball gutter 1. Further, the balls P smoothly flow down on the spiral blade 4 forming the spiral slope 5 in a free stream system, and then delivered to a ball dispensing apparatus 12 through a ball discharge port 7.
