The bottom of the car boot is assembled of two layers (1, 2). The upper layer (2) can be swiveled to the front when the backrest (6) of the rear seat (3) is folded in order to provide a large inner space for the transport of one big article or several smaller objects. The lower layer (1) can be pulled towards the rear into a position exceeding the body (4, 7) of the vehicle in order to facilitate the transport of particularly long items like a rolled up carpet.
