摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemical reaction method by which chemical reaction requiring a high temperature can inexpensively be realized by using waste heat energy of a relatively low temperature exhausted from various heat processes, the starting and stopping of the apparatus can easily be performed, and running cost/equipment cost can be reduced, to provide a hydrogen production method using the method, to provide a chemical reaction apparatus, to provide a hydrogen production apparatus provided with the apparatus, and to provide a hydrogen supply plant. <P>SOLUTION: The chemical reaction method comprises: a stage where a fluid is heated by heat exchange with a heat source 11, and high pressure gas under a pressure≥5 times the pressure inside a reaction apparatus 1 before the reaction is made; a stage where the high pressure gas is instantaneously released inside the reaction apparatus 1 to generate shock waves; a stage where a raw material is supplied to the inside of the reaction apparatus 1 before the generation of the shock waves; and a stage where the raw material is subjected to shock compression by the generated shock waves, and is heated and brought into chemical reaction. The hydrogen production method uses the method. The chemical reaction apparatus realizes the above method. The hydrogen production apparatus is provided with the reaction apparatus.
