PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic capacitor superior in voltage resistance, heat resistance, and longer lifetime, by solving its problem of low heat resistance and short-circuit occurrence under an environment of high temperatures. SOLUTION: The electrolytic capacitor has a capacitor element 11 in which an anode foil, a cathode foil, and a separator including a driving polymer electrolyte compound material 14 lying between them, and a metal case 16 containing and sealing the capacitor element 11. The material 14 has an electrolyte, and a copolymer of acrylic ester. The electrolyte is taken in the copolymer of acrylic ester and a rayon fiber or a cotton linter is used for the separator.
