PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair where the height of front wheels can simply and speedily be controlled. SOLUTION: The wheelchair is provided with height control mechanisms 25 at the front wheels 14. Each height control mechanism 25 is provided with: a caster pipe 29; a caster shaft 28 provided at this in the state of being movable forward and backward; and an inner cylinder 31 for positioning them. The inner cylinder 31 is flexible and has a reduced diameter part 38 whose inner diameter is expanded and reduced. This reduced diameter part 38 is engaged with the peripheral groove 30 of the caster shaft 28. The wheelchair is provided with ring members 32 for regulating deformation of the inner cylinders 31.
