PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixed type telephone which informs a party of a portable telephone owner's location when a call is received in the absence of the owner, a answer system, a answering method, a program displaying a answering function, and a computer-readable information recording medium having the recorded program displaying the answering function. SOLUTION: The fixed type telephone 3, 3a sends a message for answering to a terminating call in the absence of an owner 9 of a portable terminal 11. It comprises a means 47 for searching for the location of the portable terminal 11, and a means 43 for sending a message with a position including the location of the portable 11 in the message for answering the in-coming call in the absence of the owner 9 of the portable terminal 11.
