<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering gear of an outboard motor that has a simple constitution and the reduced number of components, improves steering feeling by reducing connection parts, prevents space loss of a rear part of a hull, and prevents operation difference between right turning and left turning of the outboard motor. <P>SOLUTION: Two single acting cylinders 40R and 40L disposed symmetrically with respect to the axial line of a swivel shaft 50 as a turning shaft of the outboard motor 10 and a hydraulic supplying means (a hydraulic pump 62, a hydraulic circuit 64, and an electric motor 66) for supplying oil pressure to them are built in a swivel case 12. The driving ends 40Ra and 40La of two single acting cylinders are butted on a mount frame 52 (specifically, abutting sections 74R and 74L of a stay 72 disposed in it) fixed to the swivel shaft.
