<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a medical fluid injection catheter and a balloon catheter by which breaking from a welded part and clogging of an opening part due to melting from thermal welding are prevented. <P>SOLUTION: The balloon catheter (1) is produced by integrally forming a first lumen (2a) and a second lumen (2b), inserting a core material (10) to the first lumen (2a) projecting from the second lumen (2b), mounting a metal mold (11) from the tip of the second lumen (2b) to the outer periphery of the tip part (2T) of the first lumen (2a), clogging the opening part (9) of the second lumen (2b) by thermal welding, and aligning the center axis (S1) of the tip part (2T) of the first lumen (2a) with the center axis (S1) of a double lumen tube (12).
