<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera and its illuminator in which directions of illuminating light beams are varied and reduction in size is accomplished. <P>SOLUTION: An illuminator 20 is provided with six light sources 30, six lenses 34 and first and second frame members 24 and 26 or the like. The six light sources 30 are mounted onto the first frame 24 so that the directions of the six light sources 30 are made same. The lenses 34 are held on the first frame 24 so that the optical axes of the lenses 34 are directed to the almost same direction of the light sources 30. The lenses 34 and a first frame member 29 are supported by four spring sections 2910 so as to be moved in an X axis direction and a Y axis direction. The lenses 34 are supported to move in a Z axis direction by the movement of a second frame member 28 in the Z axis direction.
