PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively inhibit the vibration of a blade with a simple structure. SOLUTION: The reciprocating saw has stepped screws 19 and 19, provided in a shoe 11, which are perpendicularly set upright to a bar 12 by squeezing the threaded parts 20 of the lower ends of the screws 19 and 19 into a pair of screwed holes 21 and 21 formed in a bar 12. On the top of each stepped screw 19, rollers 24 is rotatably installed between a screw head 22 and a washer 23 and the position of the screwed holes 21 and 21 is set so that the interval between both the rollers 24 and 24 becomes almost equal to the thickness of a blade 10. Consequently, each roller 24 comes into contact with the right/left sides of the blade 10 with the stepped screws 19 and 19 set in place. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
