PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot rolling method of stainless steel by which the surface roughening of a roll surface is prevented and the surface quality of a product is improved. SOLUTION: A roll at least the outer layer of which is composed of cemented carbide is used for a roll mounting place where surface roughening is generated on the work roll in accordance with the steel grade of stainless steel.
