PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage of a heat generating layer, scorching of ingredients to be cooked, and breaking of an electromagnetic cooker which are caused by water absorption of a container body. SOLUTION: The heat generating layer 2 composed of an electromagnetic induction heating body is formed on an inner face, an outer face, or an inner and an outer faces of a container body 1 formed of pottery having water absorption properties. A protective coating layer 3 non-permeable to water and resistant to heat is formed on the surface of the heat generating layer 2 and an entire surface of the container body 1.
