PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic forming device capable of suppressing the reduction of a plate thickness and breakage. SOLUTION: The hydraulic forming device has a first forming die 40 and a second forming die 50 which are clamped, a fluid feeding means, a hydraulic pressure detecting means, a forming state detecting means 60, and a die clamping force controlling means. A preformed body 30, which is composed by joining the periphery of superposed plate materials 10, 20, is arranged inside the first forming die 40 and the second forming die 50. The fluid feeding means swells the preformed body 30 by feeding a liquid to its inside and presses it to cavities 41, 51 of the first forming die 40 and the second forming die 50. The hydraulic pressure detecting means detects the hydraulic pressure inside the preformed body 30. The forming state detecting means 60 detects the forming state of the preformed body 30. The die clamping force controlling means increases the die clamping force to be applied to the first forming die 40 and the second forming die 50 corresponding to the detected hydraulic pressure and the detected forming state.
