LIGHT CONTROLLING ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light controlling element wherein evaporation of inside liquid is suppressed and deterioration of light controlling characteristics is small even when the light controlling element is used in the state of natural exposure. SOLUTION: The light controlling element is constituted of a substrate 1 and a light controlling sheet 2 superposed on the substrate 1 and at least the ends of the light controlling sheet 2 are covered by a liquid evaporation preventing member 3. The substrate 1 may consist of a plurality of sheets and the light controlling sheet 2 may be interposed between the sheets of the substrate 1. Evaporation of liquid in the inside of the light controlling sheet is suppressed and the light controlling element by which stable light controlling characteristics can be obtained can be manufactured by attaching the liquid evaporation preventing member to the ends of the light controlling sheet.
