The state of charge of a dry accumulator (1), charged from an AC source, is indicated. A l.e.d (21) is directly connected to the accumulator's (1) two poles, so that current flows through the l.e.d dependent upon the inner resistance of the accumulator. This means that the light intensity emitted by the diode serves as a measure of the state of charge. One or more series-connected l.e.d.s (2) can be used, whose reverse voltage lies within the interval where the dry accumulator takes its charge from an AC source and the diodes (2) are directly connected to the accumulator (1) poles. The l.e.d reverse voltage is plus or minus 40 per cent of the e.m.f of a fully charge dry accumulator. (Provisional. Basic advised week 83/32).
|
