A fan (24) comprising an impeller (36), and a case (35) for housing the impeller (36). The case (35) has at least one round air supplying opening (42a, 42b) for introducing air to the central part of rotation of the impeller (36), and a delivery opening (43) where the air delivered from the outer circumference of the impeller (36) is collected. At a part on the edge of the air supplying opening (42a, 42b) corresponding to a part in the case (35) where the air pressure is highest, a part (49) stretching toward the central part of rotation of the impeller (36) is provided. The air supplying opening (42a, 42b) has a non-circular shape because of presence of the extended part (49).
