PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device of a belt nip system including a pressing member wherein high slide friction is ensured between the pressing member and the pressure belt by a simple structure while the image quality of a fixed image is prevented from being affected by it and to provide an electrophotographic apparatus using the fixing device. SOLUTION: The fixing device includes at least a heat roll 20 which rotates while its surface is heated; the endless pressure belt 6 moved following the heat roll 20 while it comes into contact with the surface of the heat roll 20; a pressing member 10 which presses the pressure belt 6 to the surface of the heat roll 20 from its internal circumferential face, thereby forming a nip between the heat roll 20 and the pressure belt 6, through which a recording sheet 15 holding an unfixed toner image 16 thereon can be inserted. The face 9 of the pressing member 10, which comes into contact with the internal circumferential surface of the pressure belt 6, has a continuous surface having recesses and projections, on which a lubricant is held.
