PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an E-mail transmitting/receiving apparatus distributable an E-mail even while a fault occurs in a relay server in the case of transferring E-mails on a mailing list. SOLUTION: Mailing list information is stored for recording a transfer destination address of an E-mail and a detour transfer destination address for detouring the transfer destination address in advance when receiving the E-mail to a predetermined receiving address defined as the mailing list. When a fault occurs in the transfer destination and transfer is difficult in the case of transferring the E-mail to the transfer destination address, the detour transfer destination address is read to transfer the received mail while detouring the transfer destination address.
