PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of displaying an imaged image on a display section in an erected state without the need for an arithmetic operation of upside down processing and realizing downsizing and low profile of an electronic apparatus on which the imaging apparatus is mounted. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is provided with: a plurality of imaging devices 13b, 14b capable of switching and selecting an image signal output state or a high impedance output state and being mounted on the electronic apparatus while being directed in different directions; a video signal processing means 17 wherein output signal lines of the plurality of imaging devices 13b, 14b are connected to one common input terminal in common; and a selection means 16 for bringing an output of the other imaging element of a plurality of the imaging devices to a high impedance output state when one of the plurality of imaging devices 13b, 14b is selected and the imaging device brought into the image signal output state outputs an imaged image signal to the video signal processing means 17. Since the plurality of imaging devices are mounted, the need for a mechanism of turning the imaging devices is eliminated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
