<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect and make it distinct on an output image when there is, for example, a grammatical error in characters included in the image to be output in an image output apparatus for printing an image. <P>SOLUTION: The image output apparatus 1 is configured to comprise an image input means 11 for retrieving image data, a character recognition means 12 for recognizing characters included in an image to be output from the retrieved image data, an error detection means 13 for judging whether a character string obtained from the recognition result has an error in expression rules, an output image creation means 14 for generating correction candidates of the error and adding to the image to be output when judged to have an error, and an image output means 15 for outputting the image added with the correction candidates on a recording paper. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
