PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently conduct a conference when an information display processing system using an annotation is used for the electronic conference.

SOLUTION: A predetermined meaning is previously defined for an attribute of an annotation, and information on the definition is registered with an annotation attribute meaning registration area 216a of an annotation DB 216. If an annotation for which the prescribed meaning is defined is added to a document, a service activation part 564 refers to registration contents of the annotation attribute meaning registration area 216a, and interprets the meaning of the attribute of the added annotation. The service activation part 564 executes processing for providing service according to the interpretation result.
