<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a color filter in which a spacer with uniform height and superior accuracy of position and size is formed. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter has a color filter layer comprising colored pixel patterns of at least multiple colors formed on a transparent substrate, and has pattern-like spacers formed therein. The manufacturing method of the color filter comprises steps of 1, superposing a photosensitive resin film laminated with a photosensitive resin composition serving as spacers on a support so that a photosensitive resin composition layer and the color filter layer formed on the transparent substrate are contacted with each other, 2, applying pattern exposure to the resin composition layer via a mask having a light-shielding pattern; 3, peeling and removing unnecessary parts of the resin composition layer together with the support and leaving only necessary part on the color filter layer; and 4, finally fixing the left necessary part on the color filter layer by post curing to form the spacers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
