PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and stably conduct starting of reproducing and recovering from out of servo by smoothly performing lens switching in accordance with a loaded optical disk and easily discriminating the condition of an objective lens in an optical information reproducing device in which a plurality of objective lenses are mounted. SOLUTION: Counter electromotive force generated in tracking actuator coils 15a and 15b is detected, switching timing is detected from the counter electromotive force, and kick pulses and braking pulses are switched to conduct switching of the objective lenses.
