PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable stator coil of a rotating electric machine which suppresses the formation of a void directly under a low resistance corona shield layer by preventing a resin from being leaked, and also suppresses an electric discharge due to the exposure of an insulator in association with the damage of the low resistance corona shield layer on the surface. SOLUTION: In the stator coil of the rotating electric machine having the corona shield layer 13 provided on the outer periphery of a main insulating layer 12 to a ground and wound around a coil conductor 11, the corona shield layer has a first low resistance corona shield layer 13a wound on the outer periphery of the main insulating layer to the ground, and a second low resistance corona shield layer 13b wound on the outer periphery of this first low resistance corona shield layer.
