PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens unit dispensing with a program for adjustment in a built-in memory in a camera main body and easily adjusted after it is assembled in the camera main body. SOLUTION: An EEPROM 86 in which a parameter for adjustment is stored is mounted on the lens controlling substrate 80 of the lens unit 14. After storing the parameter for adjustment in the EEPROM 86 in pre-delivery inspection of the lens unit 14 by a lens maker, the lens unit 14 is delivered to a camera maker. In the case of assembly and adjustment work by the camera maker, the parameter for adjustment written in the EEPROM 86 is written in the ROM 65 of a digital camera 10, and then adjustment work is finished. The inspection of the parameter for adjustment of the lens unit 14 after assembly work therefore is not required and the software of the program for adjustment need not be stored in the ROM 65 of the camera main body.
