<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To culture plants by controlling individual plants under a uniform environment in good state. <P>SOLUTION: The root of a plant is supported on a plant supporting bed 11 and the plant is held in a plant holding member 12. Foam of a culture solution is generated by a foam generator 14 and supplied to the plant holding member to effect the culture/protection of the plant with the foam. For example, the foam is supplied from a side of the plant supporting bed into the plant holding member, the solution at least contains a fertilizer and a surfactant, and a gas at least containing oxygen and carbon dioxide gas is blown into the culture solution to generate the foam. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
