PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent stress and bending moment from remaining that cause twist and spring back. SOLUTION: The twist preventing method is performed in a manner that, in bending a narrow and long blank 1a on a curved bending line 4 along the longitudinal direction, the blank is overbent once to a prescribed angle in excess of a desired bending angle and then positively bent back to the approximate desired angle.
