PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roving prepreg package which can open the roving prepreg without generating ringer and biting of a bobbin even under a high tension and be uniformly wound up in the width direction of the bobbin in the case of a long size, and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The roving prepreg package comprises a core bobbin and a roving prepreg layer including a reinforcing fiber material wound on the core bobbin and a matrix resin as constituent components. In the roving prepreg layer, voids having an equilateral tetragonal cross-section locate, in the thickness direction of the roving prepreg, continuously from the surface of the roving prepreg layer to the surface of the bobbin.
