The inventive lubricating and separating composition is formed by a foamy mixture containing aqueous solution of carboxymethyl cellulose in an amount of 50 to 93 percent by weight, 0.5 to 2 percent by weight of a bacterial attack-preventing compound such as glutaraldehyde and glyoxal, 1 to 17 percent by weight of a surfactant such as sulfonated hydrocarbons, 1 to 17 percent by weight of polyethylene dispersion, 1 to 17 percent by weight of a higher fatty acid salt such as zinc stearate, a an optional addition of 0.3 to 1.5 percent by weight of boron nitride of hexagonal crystalline structure.
