PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel tank for a hydraulic excavator with an increase in capacity without loss of workability upon attachment/detachment of a working unit. SOLUTION: A fuel tank body 18 is provided alongside a working unit supporting bracket 8a supporting the working unit attached to an upper revolving body 2. The front part of the tank body 18 is notched and formed into an almost stepped shape not to be an obstacle against the attachment/detachment of the working unit 10. Furthermore, a reinforcing member 25 is firmly fixed to the inside plate 18b of the tank body 18 to improve the surface rigidity of the plate 18b. Thus, the capacity of the tank body 18 can be increased without loss of workability along with the increase in the surface rigidity. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
