PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make compact and lightweight radio equipment provided with an array antenna device. SOLUTION: The array antenna device is provided with a plurality of antenna elements each including a radiation element A0 to which a radio signal is fed and a plurality of non-excited elements A1-A6 each of which are provided away from the radiation element just for a predetermined interval and to which the radio signal is not fed, and a variable reactance element 25 connected to the non-excited elements A1-A6. A reactance value of the variable reactance element 25 is changed to change an orientation characteristic of the array antenna device.
