PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus whose photographing direction can comparatively easily be directed to a target object while the position of its zoom lens is kept at a telephoto position and which is capable of attaining wide angle photographing while the image resolution of the object at the center is kept at an acceptable level. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: two image sensors for generating image signals independent of each other; a magnification factor arithmetic means for calculating a magnification factor between the two image signals; and a combining means for combining the two image signals according to the magnification factor.
