PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera-attached mobile terminal for using a low frequency clock and a memory with a small capacity to process the image data of many pixels from a camera. SOLUTION: In the camera attached mobile terminal, after an external RAM once buffers image data D<SB>P1</SB>in a digital camera mode and an encoder 74 applies compression encoding to image data D<SB>P1</SB>from the external RAM in time division to obtain image data D<SB>P2</SB>for a free time of processing by an RSPB 76 and an FTB 77, the external RAM stores the image data D<SB>P2</SB>, and a CPU captures the image data D<SB>P2</SB>from the external RAM as required. In a mobile camera mode, power of the external RAM is interrupted, after the an internal RAM once buffers image data D<SB>P1</SB>and the encoder 74 applies compression encoding to image data D<SB>P1</SB>from the internal RAM in time division to obtain image data D<SB>P2</SB>for a free time of the processing by the RSPB 76 and the FTB 77, the internal RAM 75 stores the image data D<SB>P2</SB>, and the CPU captures the image data D<SB>P2</SB>as required from the internal RAM 75.
