PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw-press type filtering device with which the percentage of water content of discharged processed matter is kept at a constant value even in the case the physical property, properties and the amount of supply of processing matter, supply pressure, etc. are varied. SOLUTION: A screw 4 is rotatably inserted in the inner periphery of an approximately cylindrical filtering body 10B and the matter to be processed supplied between the screw and a filtering body 10B from the side of one end of this screw 4 is filtered with the filtering body 10B while carrying the matter to be processed to the side of the other end by the rotation of the screw 4. This screw-press type filtering device is provided with a filtering body revolving speed control means 23 for continuously rotating the filtering device 10B around its center axis X in the same direction as the direction of rotation of the screw 4 and at a revolving speed with a specified ratio set smaller than the revolving speed of the screw 4.
