PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water purifier excellent in water purifying properties and water passing properties and constituted so as to realize the conservation of a space. SOLUTION: The water cleaner 1 is equipped with an adsorbing member 2 for adsorbing impurities contained in raw water 5 to purify the raw water 5, a cylindrical filter body 3 for filtering the raw water 5 to purify the same and a filter case 4 having the adsorbing member 2 and the filter body 3 arranged therein and having an introducing port 7 of the raw water and a lead-out port 8 of cleaned water 6. The adsorbing member 2 is held in a water permeable adsorbing member case 9 so as to fill the case and the adsorbing member case 9 is detachably arranged in the filter case 4. A gap filling member 10, which has elasticity and can be reversibly changed in its volume by the stress applied from the outside, is arranged in the adsorbing member case 9 at a predetermined place on the side of the adsorbing member 2 in a compressed state.
