<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suitable operation function in a fuel cell device provided with a separator of a novel composition for supplying air and water to a coolant gas passage incorporated in a stack of a fuel cell unit cells and cooling the coolant gas passage. <P>SOLUTION: The separator with the novel composition is provided with the coolant gas passage, and a first wall part shared by the coolant gas passage and an air passage, and a communication hole transferring air and steam of the coolant gas passage to the air passage is formed on the first wall part.
