<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an erasing power without applying a burden to an erasing head, to reduce the operating time period, and to surely perform a cleaning operation. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 70 controls to heat the erasing head 50 to maintain it to be in an erasing temperature when an erasing process can be carried out. After a predetermined time period has passed, the CPU 70 allows the erasing head 50 to be in a stand-by temperature. When at least a print command or a reset command is detected or insertion of a card is operated in a condition that the erasing head 50 is maintained to be in the erasing temperature, the CPU 70 extends the condition that the erasing head 50 is maintained to be in the erasing temperature from the above time point for a time period of maintaining the erasing temperature. When a cleaning command or an error command is detected, or an operation of opening a mechanical cover 35 or a top cover 81 is carried out, the CPU 70 controls to cut the energizing of the erasing head 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
