PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oblique cross type laminated material which has high strength and can be mass-produced. SOLUTION: In the laminated material 2 which is obtained by superposing a plurality of veneers cut into a sheetlike shape one upon another to laminate and bond them and lengthened in a strip-like or TANZAKU (a strip of fancy paper)-like shape. Small veneer pieces 1a obtained by cutting the veneer into one or more pieces are linked together longitudinally to be arranged so that the fiber directions (a) are allowed to obliquely cross with respect to the side ends in the longitudinal direction of veneer layers 2a and the fiber directions (a) of the veneer layers mutually adjacent in a laminate cross section up and down are arranged so as to be inclined in mutually opposite directions and to be allowed to cross each other so as to become almost right-angled to the mutual cut sides of the veneer pieces 1a or can be set almost in the same direction as the direction of the cutting sides of the veneer small pices 1a.
