The position of the camera, for taking a photograph in a portrait- or in a landscape position, or even held upside down can be recorded by a sensor and an appropriate device in combination with the information recorded in order to serve as the later picture. When the photograph is digitally processed, both kinds of information can be used simultaneously, resulting in an automatic saving of the picture in the intended format.
