Screen printer for printing a substrate (12) with a print solution (7) that contains at least a liquid solvent, has a sealed volume (17) that prevents thinning of the solvent with the components (5, 10, 15) of the screen printer that are responsible for transfer of the print solution contained in the sealed volume. An Independent claim is made for screen printing method in which printing takes place in a sealed volume, the atmosphere of which is saturated with solvent gas.
