PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate material containing carbon capable of having functions of deodorization, insect control and vaporproofing, smoothing the surface and improving the external appearance. SOLUTION: Powder carbon (1c) is mixed with a molding material (1b) making gypsum as the principal ingredient to form a plate main body (1a) with a predetermined thickness, and a decorative sheet (1d) is fixed to at least one surface of the plate main body (1a). Alternatively, powder carbon (2c) is mixed with a large number of molding materials (2a, 2b and 3b) dividing lumber into the shape of a surface and/or granularity to laminate it in a predetermined thickness, and it is molded by heat and pressure to incorporate.
