<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera apparatus in a camera system which prevents encryption keys under communication between the camera apparatus and an image receiver and image data from being glanced furtively. <P>SOLUTION: The camera apparatus 1 comprises a camera means 11 for fetching taken images as image data, a means 12 for compressing and coding the image data acquired from the camera means 11, a means 13 for encrypting the coded image data, a means 14 for controlling encryption keys used for encrypting them, and a first and second data communication units 15, 16 for transferring the encrypted image data and control data for controlling the communication to/from a communication party. The first communication unit 15 sends the image data encrypted by the encrypting means 13, and, after acquiring the encryption keys used for encrypting the image data by the encrypting means 13 from the key controlling means 14, the second communication unit 16 sends the keys. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
