摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire rod and a steel bar for bearings, which have a spherodized structure and superior cold-formability in as rolled state, and to provide a method for economically manufacturing such a wire rod and a steel bar for the bearings with an easy operation. SOLUTION: This wire rod and steel bar have a steel composition comprising, by mass%, 0.6-1.5% C, 0.2-1.5% Mn, 0.05-1.2% Si, 0.5-2.5% Cr, 0.03% or less P, 0.02% or less S and the balance iron with unavoidable impurities, wherein cementites having an aspect ratio (major axis/minor axis) of 2 or lower are made to be 70% or more by ratio to all cementites. The above steel composition can further includes one or more elements selected among, by mass%, 0.01-0.03% Al, 0.2% or less Cu, 0.2% or less Ni and 0.1% or less Mo. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
