OVPN SYSTEM, OVPN TERMINATOR, CENTRALIZED CONVERTER, AND OPTICAL COMMUNICATION NETWORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an OVPN capable of immediately coping with request of changing an applied signal format from a user and effectively utilizing a transmission path in the OVPN.

SOLUTION: The user uses a control line through which what kind of a layer 1 signal is desired to be connected to the OVPN can be notified to control an OVPN terminator. Connecting data lines from the user to a plurality of kinds of signal converters can house diversified layer 1 signals in the OVPN. In particular, when a first signal format used by a user apparatus differs from a second signal format used in the OVPN, signals by the first signal format are capsulated by signals by the second signal format and the resulting signals are transmitted in the OVPN. In this case, the OVPN multiplexes signals delivered to the same subscriber and transmits the resulting signal to the subscriber. Or the signals by the first signal format are divided into a plurality of signals, which are capsulated by the signals with the second signal format.
