PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly perform braking, backward propulsion and steering in the forwardly propelling state of a boat in the boat for propelling the boat by the reaction of a jet by jetting a water jet backward from a stern. SOLUTION: This boat 1 has a propelling nozzle 13 supported in the stern 11 and jetting the water jet 12 backward and a guide means 23 supported in the stern 11, arranged in a rear position of the propelling nozzle 13 and guiding the water jet 12 so that the water jet 12 turns to the lateral outside and the front of the stern 11. This guide means 23 is supported in the stern 11 so as to be forwardly-backwardly movable B and C toward the outside of this rear position or an upper part from the rear position. The guide means 23 is molded so as to upwardly guide water 2 relatively backwardly flowing to the stern 11 by passing through a lower area of the stern 11 in the forwardly propelling state of the boat 1.
