METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING RESIN PELLET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for manufacturing resin pellets capable of manufacturing pellets having a desired shape stably while preventing the mutual welding of strand-like matter. SOLUTION: The apparatus for manufacturing the resin pellets has a strand-like matter discharge means 10 for discharging a molten resin in a strand-like shape to form a plurality of the strand-like matter 50, a guide plate 20 having a plurality of guide grooves 21 permitting the strand like matter 50 to flow down and allowing the strand-like matter 50 discharged from the strand-like matter discharge means 10 to fall and a cutting means 40 for cutting the strand-like matter 50 into pellets. The maximum depth (a) (mm) and width (b) (mm) of the guide grooves 21 of the guide plate 20 satisfy formula (1): 0.4≤a/x≤0.8 and formula (2): 0.6≤b/x≤1.2 [wherein x is the diameter (mm) at the time of falling of the guide plate of the strand-like matter].
