PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lattice body for a battery capable of restraining deformation of a strand and dropout of an active material by restraining strength degradation of a side part of the lattice body without having a frame bone, of restraining extension of the lattice body generated particularly in the lattice body of a positive electrode, and of restraining life degradation of the battery caused by them, in an expanded lattice body for a battery; and to provide a battery using it. SOLUTION: The expanded lattice body is provided with expanded meshes each composed by forming slits on a conductor sheet in a zigzag form, and by expanding the slits. The expanded lattice body is provided with a first expanded mesh and a second expanded mesh, and is characterized by forming a first non-slit part continuing in the slit formation direction between the first expanded mesh and the second expanded mesh.
